Yeshua, the Word

John 1:1

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God (Theos), and the Word was God.

If we talk about the beginning we talk about the time that Elohim created the heaven and earth. An example we find in Genesis 1:3.

Genesis 1:3

And Elohim said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.

With speaking out words Elohim created heaven and earth. His words create things. When Elohim speaks something happens. It’s not excisting that His words don’t have results.

Isaiah 55:11

So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.

And by what Elohim speaks we can know Him. We can find out His character. That’s why John says that the Word is God.
Also by knowing Yeshua we can know Yahweh.

John 14:9

Yeshua said to him, “Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

Yeshua is representing Yahweh, His Father. He speaks the words of His Father. That’s why John says that the Word became flesh.

John 1:14

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and Truth.

Because Yeshua is the Son of Yahweh. We say that Yeshua is God’s Word who became flesh. God’s Word presented in a human body. The body of Yeshua, the Son of Yahweh.

And John also say that the Word is God, so we can also say that Yeshua is God.
And because John is claiming that the Word was with God. We can say that Yeshua was there helping His Father to create heaven and earth. That makes Yeshua the Creator  together with Elohim, His Father.

But don’t forget Yahweh and Yeshua are one. Yahweh is totally Yeshua. Yeshua is only a part of Yahweh. The creating words of Elohim.

*Elohim means God, the Creator.
